There is a person on KYS, dwalling@academicplanet.com that is selling the meals meant for victims of Hurricane Ike that lost power at $20.00 a meal. This is appalling. Please email her and let her know how you feel. I guess some people will do anything for a buck. Below is my response to her listing:

I am really APPALLED that you would sell free mre's that were meant to feed people that were hit by the hurricane that might still need that food. Why don't you drive down to Galveston, and donate it to the people that are still in shelters or still living in hotels that have been devastated by the storm. People that have lost everything they own and have no idea if or when they will get anything replaced. I have left over mre's and that is what I plan to do. I desperately could use the extra money selling them also, (I support a family of four on about $1,000 a month), but any person with a heart or with a concious wouldn't sell these meals. If you don't want to drive to Galveston, bring them to HAAM in Humble to the food pantry. Anything would be better than selling them.
